儲 存 液 0.01M TBS(pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.03% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol.
保存條件 Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

產(chǎn)品介紹 background:
Defensins are a group of cyclic peptides containing 29-35 amino acids, which comprise approximay 30% of the total protein content of neutrophil azurophilic granules. Various functions have been reported for the defensins, including antibacterial and antifungal activity and chemotactic activity for monocytes.

Function:
Defensin 1 and defensin 2 have antibacterial, fungicide and antiviral activities. Has antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Defensins are thought to kill microbes by permeabilizing their plasma membrane.

Subunit:
Dimer.

Subcellular Location:
Secreted.

Post-translational modifications:
ADP-ribosylation drastically reduces cytotoxic and antibacterial activities, and enhances IL8 production. 
Phosphorylation at Tyr-85 has been found in some cancer cell lines, and interferes with ADP-rybosylation.

Similarity:
Belongs to the alpha-defensin family.
